Keep your hands off foil during eyelash lifting or eyebrow lamination

Why you should protect your customers now! ⬇️

Do you think that using foil during eyelash lifting and eyebrow lamination is harmless? Here is the ugly truth: All of these foils are an invisible danger to your clients, they are carcinogenic!

Why is foil used at all? To weigh down eyelashes or eyebrow hairs while the lotions are working so that they no longer slip in their position.

The problem with all these slides:

All films contain plasticizers! Plasticizers are necessary to make the films malleable and flexible. This is exactly where the problem lies: All plasticizers are carcinogenic!

The plasticizers are firmly anchored in the film, but as soon as it comes into contact with products that have extremely high or low pH values, the plasticizers dissolve out of the film and enter the product. From the product they can get onto your customer's skin - provided the product comes into contact with the skin. Surprise, all lifting lotions available have a low and a high pH value! This means that the dissolved plasticizers get onto your customer's skin via the lotion and thus penetrate their body.

During eyebrow lamination, the foil is in full contact with the skin. It is inevitable that plasticizer will not enter your client's body. During eyelash lifting, you could try to work very carefully to avoid skin contact, but you can never give a 100% guarantee.

What can you do?

It's time to take responsibility. As soon as customers enter your studio, you are responsible for their well-being. That's why you should immediately stop using foil during your treatments. There are alternatives that are just as effective but do not pose a risk to your customers' health, e.g. compensators. You can find great compensators for eyelash lifting here in the shop.

It's time to rethink your techniques and ensure your clients' health is your top priority.
